AFL Rising Star – Round 4

AFL Rising Star – Round 4

NO.1 draft pick Andrew McGrath has taken just a month for his talent to be recognised, named the AFL Rising Star nomination for Round 4.

The 18-year-old was a shining light in Essendon’s loss to Adelaide on Saturday night, gathering 28 possessions and laying four tackles.

Selected by the Bombers from TAC Cup club Sandringham Dragons, McGrath debuted in the Round 1 win over Hawthorn, where he had 22 disposals.

He is Essendon’s first nominee since Darcy Parish in Round 2 last year.
