Crash: Serious Injuries

An elderly couple was injured after a two-vehicle collision in 17th Street yesterday.

It's understood a Mitsubishi sedan travelling north on Walnut Avenue failed to stop at a stop sign at around 9am and was hit by a Ford ute travelling on 17th Street.

A 77 year old passenger in the Mitsubishi was taken to Mildura Base Hospital with serious injuries, while a 73 woman ... also a passenger in the Mitsubishi ... was also taken to hospital with hip pain.

The driver of the ute was not injured.
