Daydreaming ... on Live TV

We’re all guilty of daydreaming.

Does your mind wander at work? It’s probably more common in some jobs than others.

Would you daydream if you worked as a TV presenter?

It would be pretty hard to forget you’re on the TV ... wouldn’t it?

The ABC’s Media Watch has highlighted footage of one of its own newsreaders who almost jumped out of her chair when she realised she was meant to be on air.

ABC News 24 presenter Natasha Exelby nearly jumps out of her chair — literally — when she momentarily fails to realise that she is on air.

It happened after a pre-recorded report ... the cameras went back to her ... and she is lazily fiddling with a pen.

She quickly realises she is back on screen and reacts with horror. Let’s just say her gasp is audible.

Yet, she soldiers on admirably, resuming her duties and throwing to the sports reporter.

I'm sure the ABC will use that footage at its Christmas party ...
