Locals and visitors are being urged to be careful when going into the water in sections of the Darling and Murray Rivers.
A red alert for blue green algae remains in place in areas of the Darling including at Pooncarie and the Great Darling Anabranch at the Silver City Highway Crossing.
Water New South Wales says people should avoid contact with the water and keep pets and livestock away.

An amber alert’s been issued for the Murray at Curlwaa.
