Wentworth Council will be providing support for the Pooncarie Desert Dash.
Councillors this month voted to provide $20,000 dollars for the Dash which will be held in April.
More than 80 from across the country are expected to compete in the 400 kilometre race.

The Council says it’ll provide a boost to the local tourism market and economy.
