Federal MP Anne Webster is worried the Labor Government will consult on the Murray Darling Basin Plan until it gets its desired outcome.
The Member for Mallee says while the government says all options are on the table, she has questioned whether it’ll pick and choose who they listen to.
She’s warned against going with water buybacks and instead invest further in water storage measures such as dams.

Minister for the Environment and Water Tanya Plibersek has called for “innovative and practical” ideas to deliver the plan in full, including 450GL to enhance environmental outcomes.
