Pink recently showed public support for Britney Spears amidst her highly publicised divorce from Sam Asghari.
During her Summer Carnival Tour in Detroit, Pink modified the lyrics of her 2001 hit song Don’t Let Me Get Me to acknowledge Spears and express her solidarity. Pink, who has a friendship with Spears, changed the original lyrics “tired of being compared to damn Britney Spears, she’s so pretty, that just ain’t me” to “sweet Britney Spears” in a public display of support.
The audience warmly received the change, cheering in approval and expressing their adoration.

Pink and Britney Spears share a deep bond. Pink described her relationship with Spears in a People magazine interview, noting she’s always viewed herself as a protective elder sister to Spears.
Spears and Asghari got married in June 2022 after more than five years of dating. Their wedding boasted a small but star-studded guest list that included celebrities like Paris Hilton, Madonna, Drew Barrymore, and Selena Gomez. However, Asghari filed for divorce in a Los Angeles court on August 16th, citing “irreconcilable differences” in his petition against Spears. Court documents revealed that the couple had been separated for three weeks at the time of filing.
Asghari shared a statement on social media, expressing his well wishes for Britney Spears and requesting privacy as they navigate through the divorce.
Spears also released a statement on Instagram, expressing her surprise and stating that she “couldn’t take the pain anymore.” Despite the circumstances, she assured fans that she’s doing well. She mentioned receiving heartwarming messages of support from friends.
