Drug trafficking arrest at Renmark

Riverland Police have arrested a man for drug trafficking following a search at Renmark Wednesday.

About midday on Wednesday 14 February, Police attended a Renmark home to conduct a search in relation to a theft investigation.

Police will allege that the resident hindered and resisted police on their arrival and was subsequently arrested.

Officers searched the premises and located approximately 12 grams of a substance suspected to be methamphetamine, paraphernalia relating to drugs and drug dealing, and several items of jewellery linked to a recent serious criminal trespass and theft.

The 54-year-old man was arrested and charged with trafficking a controlled drug, hinder and resist police, and unlawful possession.

He was refused police bail and appeared in the Berri Magistrates Court yesterday.
