Growing healthier, fairer communities

Funding of up to $150,000 is now available for Victorian organisations helping communities facing structural barriers to good health as part of health promotion foundation VicHealth’s Growing Healthy Communities grants.

Applications are now open from a total funding pool of $4 million for innovative ideas that push the envelope to create better, fairer health outcomes for Victoria’s young people and their families.

This includes programs such as community gardens, creative spaces and innovative ideas that push the boundaries of local spaces.

Jade Benham, the Nationals’ Member for Mildura announced the Growing Healthier Communities grant round today, encouraging local organisations to apply.

“Growing Healthier Communities grants will empower the Mildura region by fostering safe, inclusive spaces, enhancing access to healthy food and nurturing meaningful social connections for a vibrant and healthy future,” Ms Benham said.

Funding guidelines are now available at Growing Healthy Communities Grants with applications opening on Wednesday 3 July and closing 31 July.

Successful recipients will be advised in December 2024.
