The Victorian Government has announced the planned changes, including raising the age of criminal responsibility to 12 and tightening bail laws.
But, Mildura MP Jade Benham has raised concerns over the planned changes to the youth justice laws.
The Nationals member says there needs to be a focus on bail laws.

The local MP is also worried victims of crime won’t be able to be heard when it comes to parole.
