TAFE teachers across Victoria, including those at SuniTAFE’s Mildura and Swan Hill campuses, are set to take action today over pay and conditions.
A 24-hour stop work is being held, with the Education Union claiming the Victoria Government has failed to offer a decent deal, despite negotiations starting more than two years ago.
The union says the government’s neglected concerns of TAFE teachers, and argues that TAFE teachers are paid almost eight-thousand dollars LESS than similarly experience school teachers.
