Concerns about the Federal Government’s open tender water purchase program as part of the Murray Darling Basin Plan has been raised with politicians in Canberra.
A delegation from the Murray River Group of Councils have been in the nation’s capital, raising concerns about the potential impact of the buybacks on local communities.
Other issues raised include housing, renewable energy opportunities and regional development.
