The final make- up of the Wentworth and Balranald councils are expected to be announced in early October.
The New South Wales elections were held on the weekend, while early voting and postal votes were also conducting in the lead up to the polls.
Counting will resume today.

There’ll be nine councillors for Wentworth and eight for the Balranald municipality.
The NSW Electoral Commission says the counts can’t be finished until all postal votes have been returned.
Victorian council elections will be held next month.
