A local organisation is acknowledging World Homeless Day today.
The day, which is held on October 10 each year, aims to raise awareness about the needs of people currently going through homelessness.
Mallee Accommodation and Support Program says it’s working to help locals who are or at risk of being homeless find a safe and secure place to live.
“Our purpose at MASP is to empower our community to be free from homelessness, abuse, poverty and disadvantage,” MASP Acting CEO Charmaine Calis said.
“As a client-focused organisation we understand that everyone is unique, and we offer different program options to choose from, as well as tailor-made plans to suit.
