Cam Waters has made a solid start, finishing second-fastest after the first practice session around Mount Panorama ahead of Sunday’s iconic Bathurst 1000.
The Mildura local just beaten by Kiwi Matt Payne who topped the time sheet on day one, while championship leader Will Brown rounded out the top three.
Waters says it’s a positive start to the race weekend.
