Algal alert lifted

An algal alert for the Darling River has been lifted.

A red alert was issued for the river from Pomona to the Murray at Wentworth Weir due to concerns of possible blue green algae.

However Water New South Wales says reports indicate the scum related mostly to other non-blue green algae.

However it is encouraging locals and visitors to be cautious when using the water, saying conditions can quickly change.
