The Victorian Opposition is worried about the Victorian Government’s plans for new National Parks.
Mildura MP JADE BENHAM says Parks Victoria doesn’t have the resources to manage parks already under its control, and is concerned more will be added.
She says a Nationals petition to stop creating new parks already has more than 22-thousand signatures, with the petition closing in February next year.
The petition says “The petitioners request that the Legislative Council to call on the Government to not create any new nationals parks and keep state forests open to public access and traditional activities.”
