Mildura Rural City Council is inviting the community to come together today for White Ribbon Australia and take a stand to address and prevent family violence.
Council says everyone is invited to join today’s Community Walk to raise awareness about family violence and the work of White Ribbon Australia.
The Walk will start in Mildura’s Langtree Mall and travel along Langtree Avenue towards the riverfront before concluding at Powerhouse Place on Hugh King Drive.
Walk participants are encouraged to dress in white to show support for White Ribbon.
Information stalls and displays from family violence prevention and support services will be available.
The event will conclude with a free community barbecue.
The walk is on this afternoon form midday until 2:30, starting in the Langtree Mall.
