Tungring Pitcher has called Ouyen home for the last 20 years and her friends say she is a true blue ‘Ouyenite’, and now she is also officially an Australian citizen.
Tungring, who is from Thailand, was joined by her husband Terry and her great mates from the Ouyen Bowling Club at a citizenship ceremony at Powerhouse Place in Mildura last Friday.
She was among 30 new Australian citizens welcomed into the local community from 16 countries including Iraq, Syrian Arab Republic, South Africa, Rwanda, Bangladesh, New Zealand, United Kingdom, China, Phillipines, Vietnam, Afghanistan, Samoa, Serbia, India and Tibet.
Mildura Rural City Council has congratulated all and thanked them for choosing our region to call home.
