Queensland Fruit Fly management monitoring

Dried Fruits Australia is warning locals that the serious part of Queensland Fruit Fly management is nearing across the Mallee.

The local organisation is recommending monitoring begin in early December, with the “attract and kill” program to be initiated if even a single fly is spotted.

While sultana berries usually start to soften between Christmas and the New Year, some varieties may start sooner.

There have also been reports of sting marks before grapes soften.
