A man has been refused bail in a Mildura court, facing charges including assault and failing to comply with bail conditions.
The court was told the 31 year old allegedly evaded police for weeks before he was found hiding under a blanket in Red Cliffs.
The Herald Sun says police told the court the man had allegedly used family and friends to lie for him.

He’s been remanded to face court again on January 8.
