Skilled migration workshops in the area this month

Two industry workshops on skilled migration are headed to the Far South West of New South Wales this month.

The workshops are for regional industries, employers, and local governments to learn how migration policies can support workforce needs.

The first session will be held in Broken Hill on Tuesday, returning to the region for an event in Buronga two weeks later.

You’ll get insights on:

  • The NSW Skills Plan and State Migration Plan, which is a wholistic approach to place-based skills planning
  • How migration levers can be designed to address gaps in the skilled workforce through a statewide Designated Area Migration Agreement
  • A chance to provide feedback on NSW government initiatives

Wentworth Shire Council Mayor Daniel Linklater says there’s a special keynote speaker, and is encouraging people on both sides of the border to attend.
