Local livestock owners and farmers are being warned to ensure they provide enough feed for cattle and other animals.
Agriculture Victoria seized more than 50 cattle from a Murrayville property in January, saying there wasn’t sufficient feed for the cattle which saw several of the animals dying.
It says it can seize affected animals, removing them permanently from the owner or person in charge, but the government body says most farmers are doing the right thing.
