Organisers are saying all are welcome to the official opening of the 2025 Magenta Art & Photography Show Thursday April 17 from 6.30pm in the Magenta Woolshed, Australian Inland Botanic Garden (AIBG).
In its 14th year, the Magenta Art Prizes is run over the Easter weekend (18 – 21 April 2025) at the Australian Inland Botanic Garden, Magenta Woolshed and is open to the public daily 10:00am – 4:00pm by gold coin donation.
Almost 200 artworks are on display including botanical, landscape, portrait, and photography – all in the running for over $11,000 worth of prize money.
Painting Best in Show $2,000 is once again supported by the Mildura Gardens Retirement Village.
Best in Show Photography sponsor is Tasco Petroleum.
Other notable prize sponsors include, original founders of the annual event, the Magenta Art Group, Friends Of the Gardens, The Coomealla Club, Wentworth & District Community Bank, Trentham Farms, La Trobe University Mildura Campus, the Buronga Post Office, Helen Vivian, Merbein & District Community Bank, Gregg & Sons Steel, Arts Mildura, Keith Richards, John Irwin Legal, Trako Pty Ltd, Workspace 3496 and Chalmers Wines.
