A Red Cliffs man has been refused bail as he awaits a retrial as part of a drawn out court hearing following a fatal fire over two years ago.
38-year-old David Cartledge has been behind bars charged with murder since the incident in February 2023 which saw his roommate killed.
The 52-year-old was found dead in his Indi Avenue house in Red Cliffs

Cartledge was arrested and charged over the blaze.
He has pleaded not guilty and is waiting for a retrial after his initial trial earlier this year was suspended.
He’ll stay behind bars after having a bail bid denied.
