Locals are being warned to stay on the lookout for snakes, with the slithery creatures still out and about across Sunraysia.
Local snake catcher Steve Morrow sharing on social media that we can expect to see the reptiles until around mid-April, when movement will start to slow down.
He says that, looking to build themselves up for the best chance of survival, younger snakes will be out hunting food until late in the season.

Morrow says brumation tends to fall roughly between May and August in Sunraysia, the process similar to hibernation.
