It’s Dementia Action Week, with figures showing more than four-hundred thousand people across Australia live with the condition.
Federal Member for Mallee Anne Webster has joined the call in asking locals to learn more about dementia, saying it can break down stigma and discrimination and help communities be more supportive and welcoming.
She says dementia is the second most leading cause of death in Australia behind coronary heart disease.
