Mildura, Robinvale and Swan Hill will each have a container deposit site operating from Wednesday.
The state-wide rollout of the refund scheme will see ten cent refunds given for approved cans and bottles.
The State Government scheme proposes to have over 600 refund points set up by August next year.
There will be a large scale automated depot at 2 Byrne Court, Mildura, which will be fully operational by Wednesday.
The state of the art deport will operate 8:00am to 4:00pm Monday to Saturday, with plans to expand to seven days a week.
Around Again, Mildura and J&J’s Trash and Treasure, Robinvale are going to be the first locations to operate and over the counter service.
