Councillor Stuart King has been re-elected as Mayor of Swan Hill Rural City Council at a Scheduled Council Meeting held yesterday, Tuesday, 26 November 2024.
Councillors elected Cr King to serve as Mayor for the next 12 months.
This marks his second consecutive term in the role.
Cr King was first elected to Council in 2020 and was the first elected candidate for Swan Hill Rural City Council, in the recent Local Government Election.

Cr King said it was an incredible privilege to be elected as Mayor, and he is deeply committed to serving the community.
“I am sincerely grateful for the confidence and support from the community and my fellow Councillors, and I look forward to working closely with them and our dedicated Council staff members to drive meaningful progress across our municipality.”
“In the year ahead, I am excited to see key projects come to life and to welcome new investments that will strengthen and enrich our region,” Cr King said.
At the meeting, Councillors also determined the 2025 meeting schedule, with Scheduled Meetings to remain mostly on the third Tuesday of each month.
