There are only a few days left for locals to apply for Mildura Rural City Council’s third round of the Cool It Street Program.
It’s aimed at providing streets with semi-mature trees in areas of need, providing quality tree canopy cover.
Eligibility criteria includes streets being five years or older and having little to no trees on the nature strips, and having the majority of residents supporting more trees on nature strips.
General Manager Healthy Communities Mark Jenkins said more than 60 streets across the municipality have already benefitted from the program since it was launched in 2019.
Residents can nominate their street or section of street by completing an online form at www.mildura.vic.gov.au/Cool-It
Nominations will close this Friday, 29 November.
