A drink driver who crashed into a pole, which led to his passenger being killed in Red Cliffs, has been jailed.
The 43-year-old pleaded guilty to culpable driving and was sentenced to six and a half years behind bars in Mildura County Court last week, after crashing his car into a power pole on Indi Avenue in 2019.
The judge found he was driving 20kmh over the speed limit and had a blood alcohol reading of over three times the legal limit.

The driver also sustained a permanent brain injury, which the judge says was punishment on top of his jail sentence.
