There’s been a drop in overdose deaths in Mildura.
New figures from the Victorian Coroners Court shows that there were three deaths locally in 2023, compared to seven the previous year.
In Swan Hill, there’ve been no deaths in the previous two years.

The top contributing drugs include diazepam, heroin and methamphetamine.
The court says men are on average twice as likely as women to die from an overdose, and people aged between 35 and 54 are most at risk.
