Mildura Rural City Council staff and Mayor Liam Wood have met with Victoria’s Emergency Management Commissioner Andrew Crisp during his visit to Sunraysia.
He’s been joined by representatives from the Department of Health for a tour of the levee construction works along Ranfurly Way which are aimed at protecting homes and other properties from the rising river levels.
Over fifty staff and contractors have been working 12-hour days to complete the levee, which is expected to be completed in coming days.

The Murray is expected to peak in Mildura early next week.
