More than 150-thousand dollars-worth of grants have been announced for several local groups across the region.
Councillors voted in favour of the grants under the Community Grants Program during their first meeting last week.
Successful applications including Mildura Royals Club which received 10-thousand dollars for a multicultural sports program, the Mildura West Cricket Club received nine-and-a-half thousand for a new ride-on mower, the Mildura District Ski Club for a defibrillator and the Red Cliffs Historical Steam Railway for rail track infrastructure upgrade.
