Secondary students are being encouraged to apply for a scholarship.
Mildura MP Jade Benham says the Kokoda Scholarship Program will support local Year 11 students to trek the Kokoda Trail, but also honour local wartime history.
It’ll be named after a local soldier with the name to be revealed on Australia Day.
