Mildura and Swan Hill councils will be holding events and citizenship ceremonies on January 26 to mark Australia Day.
It comes as data shows more than a third of Victorian councils have chosen not to celebrate Australia Day in any form.
A survey by the Institute of Public Affairs shows more Australians are supporting the statement that January 26 should be celebrated.
Mildura Rural City Council will be announcing the winners of its Australia Day awards on the Sunday, with other events being held in the region.
Wentworth and Swan Hill local government areas will have Australia Day Award ceremonies the day before with other events to be held on the 26th, and Balranald has events planned for Australia day including a breakfast in BBQ Euston and a BBQ lunch in Balranald.
