A shared passion for creating safer workplaces through fresh ideas and determination unites the finalists for the 2024 WorkSafe Awards.
From almost 150 nominations, 21 finalists have been shortlisted across six award categories for the annual accolades, which celebrate initiatives in workplace health and safety and return to work.
The winners of the 35th annual WorkSafe Awards will be announced at an event at the Park Hyatt Melbourne on 27 February, with tickets now on sale.
WorkSafe Chief Executive Officer Joe Calafiore said it was inspiring to see such a diverse mix of workplaces and individuals represented this year.
“Our finalists come from a wide range of industries including construction, education, healthcare and more,” Mr Calafiore said. “It’s wonderful to see advancements in workplace health and safety happening right across the board.”
A local organisation has won a spot in finals.
Community Roadsafe Mildura are one of four finalists in the OHS Leadership/Achievement Award.
Tickets are on sale now until Friday 7 February on the Eventbrite web site or email awards@worksafe.vic.gov.au for more information.
