A man, jailed for one year for the assault on a woman, could be freed by mid-June, with time already served.
The Mildura man pleaded guilty to charges including assault and intentionally causing injury over the assault of the victim.
The Herald Sun says the court heard the man punched, choked and dragged the victim by her hair during the attack.

He’s also been handed a two-year community corrections order, and he’s already served more than 200 days behind bars.
