Organisers have delcared the Melbourne Cup day at Mildura Racing Club as success.
A good crowd turned out yesterday to watch the races on the track and fashions on the field.
Mr Ferrari won the Mallee Cup ahead of Alaksan Storm and Shal Exceed.

Wentworth District Club also head a Melbourne Cup meeting, with organisers also happy with the event.
Our Destrier won the Wentworth Cup.
