Mildura brand ambassador says we have much to boast about

Mildura’s new brand ambassador Shane Jacobson says there’s plenty to boast about for the region.

He’s starring in a new ad spruiking the benefits of visiting the region, saying tourists need to know more about the location including the benefits of being on the Murray River.

Mildura’s Mayor says our town has plenty to offer, with Visit Mildura controversially re-branding the city as Tropical North Victoria.

Liam Wood says the campaign boasts the region’s sunshine, saying it has more sunny days than Queensland’s Sunshine Coast

Also Mildura Rural City Council has announced the final locations of two art installations.

Bruce Munro is behind the Trail of Lights, which will be on Lock Island subject to government approval.

It will feature over 12-thousand firefly flights and other attractions.

And the Fibre Optic Symphonic Orchestra will be happening four kilometres from Wentworth on Log Bridge Road.
