Motorcycle Awareness Month

Motorcyclists around Sunraysia are being reminded to stay safe while out there on the road.

Mildura Police are reminding riders to ensure they are always wearing an Australian approved helmet – this is a legal requirement. It’s also incredibly important to wear good quality leather or Kevlar motorcycle gear.

Also, if you have been drinking, feeling sober is not a safe indicator of whether or not you are under the legal limit.

If you’re heading out to the bush, plan your trip and make sure you’ve told people where you will be, keep a safe distance between riders, tailgating cuts down your reaction time and leads to accidents and make sure to take plenty of rest breaks and drink plenty of water.
