If you drive, don’t drink and if you drink, don’t drive.
RoadSafe Mildura is again conducting its Party Safe campaign over the festive season, with the support of Coca-Cola Amatil and VicRoads Community Grants.
Most of the region’s popular pubs and clubs have joined the fight against drink driving over the festive season.
Community RoadSafe Mildura has launched its annual Party Safe (Designated Driver) campaign with the support of responsible night-time hotspots and pubs.
With Coca-Cola Amatil and VicRoads as the major sponsors, the Community RoadSafe Mildura initiative aims to reduce local road crashes this holiday season by rewarding designated drivers with free soft drink while out with friends.
Nominated drivers will receive a wristband from security or other staff upon entry, which entitles them to free soft drinks when shown to bar staff.
Community RoadSafe’s Tressna Martin said the campaign aimed to make roads safer and carried the simple message that drinking, drugs and driving don’t mix.
“We want people to be given the right opportunities to stay safe and look after their friends,”
The message is simple: If you drive, don’t drink and if you drink, don’t drive.
