The issue of youth crime and the rising rate of violence will continue to the focus of Shadow Youth Justice Minister Brad Battin.
He’s in the region today talking to local business owners, staff and residents concerned about the increase of violence and crime.
Mildura MP Jade Benham is again calling on the minister to meet with her, saying some businesses are introducing lockdowns due to the rise in youth crime.

Meantime, a parliamentary petition has been launched, calling on the State Government to implement tougher penalties so those responsible for youth violence are held fully accountable for their actions.
