A drop in the speed limit along a section of the Calder Highway is proving successful, with collisions on the stretch at the Belar Avenue Extension disappearing.
The Department of Transport dropped the limit from 100kmh to 80 last December after as many as eleven collisions on the road were reported to the Department in the five years prior.
The Department says it’s had no reports of any collisions since.
