Survey of four priority weeds

NSW Western Local Land Services is coordinating a survey to determine the presence, spread and density of 4 priority weeds in the Far West.

The 4 priority weeds are:

• Jumping Cholla (Cylindropuntia fulgida)

• Boxing Glove Cactus (Cylindropuntia fulgida var. mamillata)

• Hudson Pear (Cylindropuntia pallida)

• Mesquite (Prosopis)

As part of the survey, landholders will be contacted via phone by Michael Michelmore who has been contracted by Western Local Land Services, while ground surveys will also be undertaken.

Participation in this survey will assist in the planning of on-ground weed control works and future initiatives.
