Qld cop stood down over assault on child

A North Queensland police officer has been stood down for allegedly assaulting and threatening a child.

The 40-year-old constable is under investigation for allegedly unlawfully assaulting a juvenile, and using offensive and threatening language while speaking to a juvenile.

It's also alleged the officer turned off his body-worn camera during the incident.
