Woman knocks out man at Noosa taxi rank

A man is being treated in hospital for a fractured skull after he was knocked unconscious by a woman while waiting for a taxi in Noosa, north of Brisbane.

The 22-year-old local man was struck in the head about 2.30am on Sunday, causing him to fall to the road and hit his head on the bitumen, police say.

He was taken to Nambour Hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
