Drunk driver crosses into Sydney traffic
A man has been charged with drink driving after he allegedly drove his car onto the wrong side of the road while almost six times the legal limit in Sydney's southwest.
The 27-year-old was arrested after police received reports of a car being driven erratically on the River Road at Revesby about 8.45pm on Saturday.
Those calling police said the car had failed to remain in its lane and had crossed over to the wrong side of the road and into the path of incoming traffic at one point, police say.
The man was pulled over and allegedly returned a positive breath test.
A later breath test taken at Revesby Police Station allegedly returned a reading of .290.
The man was charged with high range drink driving and is due to appear in Bankstown Local Court on November 21.
