The Victorian Opposition says more mental health services are needed in Mildura and Victoria's North-West not less.

It claims 60 million dollars has been cut from mental health programs under the state budget, which means local families will miss out on services addressing the toll of peri-natal anxiety and depression.

The Coalition says locals will also be impacted by cuts to drug and alcohol treatment and prevention efforts, and that the community has made it clear more mental health services are needed locally.
