A call out to bee keepers
Sunraysia beekeepers have been encouraged to help with the almond pollination season.
With hives not permitted into the region from New South Wales due to Varroa Mite Disease there are concerns some growers may not have enough hives.
Trevor Monson from Monson’s Honey put the call out for local keepers to help.
He says there’s always been a concern for Varroa coming to Australia.
